Surface engineering treatments
Blackening produces a uniform deep black surface layer on components made from ferrous materials. This makes them not only more attractive to look at but more resistant to corrosion.
Parts which can be blackened are: tools such as drill bits, milling tools, clamping jaws, drill chuck sleeves, screws, spindles, plain washers, small metal fittings, operating elements in the precision mechanics industry. Durferrit supplies products for blackening, and the pre and post treatments.
