Diffusion annealing/homogenizing

Diffusion annealing/homogenizing are carried out to compensate the local differences in the chemical composition (homogeneity of the microstructure) of steels and cast materials caused by segregation. This is done by annealing within a temperature range of 1000 - 1300 °C. Suitable salt baths for this temperature range are Durferrit GS 960, Durferrit Carboneutral, or Durferrit Glühkohle K.
